Work Flexibility: Remote The Associate Legal Counsel, Sport Medicine, is primarily responsible for proactively handling a broad range of legal and compliance matters associated with the Sports Medicine Business Unit, within the Endoscopy Division, including working closely with business unit leadership, functional partners, and outside counsel on a variety of critical matters for the division. This position offers remote work flexibility within the United States. What you will do: Serve as a strategic business partner and advisor to the Sports Medicine Business Unit. Effectively communicate with leadership at all levels of the organization, bringing in feedback and gaining alignment from a wide range of functions Provide timely analysis and counsel on a diverse range of legal issues Independently draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a variety of agreements (e.g., sales, services, supply, distribution, consulting, clinical study, non-disclosure, employment, and other commercial arrangements) Analyze and provide clear and concise guidance on laws, rules, regulations, and the employer policies as necessary, including with respect to the company’s interactions with healthcare professionals Collaborate with lawyers and other professionals from the employer’s Centers of Expertise to manage a variety of significant matters (e.g., strategic contracting, data privacy and security, intellectual property, litigation, employment, and regulatory matters) Provide pragmatic and business-relevant assessments of legal risk and exhibit the ability to effectively communicate legal risk to non-legal professionals Exercise excellent judgment in identifying and escalating issues to management Support the overall objectives of the Sports Medicine Business Unit and Enterprise Governance Department Collaborate and communicate with colleagues, management, business partners, and outside counsel Assist on other matters as needed What you need: Required Bachelor's degree Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to practice law.
