Job Title Research Scientist - Computed Tomography (Orange, OH) Job Description Research Scientist - Computed Tomography (Orange, OH) As an important member of the Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Physics and Algorithm team, the Research Scientist will develop innovative physics-based solutions/corrections and support medical imaging platform needs by leading image quality improvements in CT by developing cutting edge Photon Counting systems. Your role: Apply system-level engineering approach to develop CT/X-ray imaging features, focusing on signal and image processing, CT reconstruction, and calibration to optimize image quality. Leverages strong systems-level and scanner experience to ensure end-to-end performance across the imaging chain. Investigate and resolve image quality issues during product introduction and from the installed base, communicating findings clearly to stakeholders. Delivers safe, effective, and well-documented solutions based on rigorous data analysis. Develop and enhance R&D tools for physics-based simulation and image formation, including benchmarks, dataflow requirements, and Software Requirement Specifications. Works primarily in MATLAB, with increasing use of Python and optional C++ for performance-critical components.
