Position Summary
HealthMark Group is growing and looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Access Management Specialist to manage secure, compliant access across more than 1,000 client systems, 500+ users, and 800+ clients. This role owns the full lifecycle of credential and access management — from provisioning through deprovisioning — along with auditing, documentation, and timely resolution of access issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of credentials and access for client EMR/EHR systems, including onboarding, changes, renewals, and deactivation.
- Maintain accurate credential records and ensure access is provisioned based on approved roles and least-privilege principles.
- Monitor expiration dates and proactively renew credentials to prevent operational disruptions.
- Maintain secure credentials within HealthMark’s approved password management platforms, in line with security and privacy policies.
- Conduct routine audits of credential and access records to identify discrepancies, inactive accounts, or unauthorized access, and maintain audit trails.
- Escalate suspected security incidents, compromised credentials, or compliance concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with Client Advocates, IT, Operations, and clients to coordinate and resolve credential/access requests within service-level expectations.
- Investigate access issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and workflows for credential management.
- Provide regular status reporting to management on credentialing activity, outstanding requests, and compliance concerns.
- Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in credentialing, access management, IT security, or healthcare operations.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems or other healthcare technology platforms preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, access-control principles, and the user access lifecycle (provisioning through deprovisioning).
- Experience with password management, identity and access management (IAM), ticketing, or credential management platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage a high volume of competing requests and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to investigate and resolve access issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling PHI, PII, and other sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ticketing/workflow platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
- Confidentiality & Compliance This position requires access to confidential and sensitive information, including PHI, PII, and system credentials.
- The Credentialing Specialist must maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all HealthMark Group policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable information-security standards.
