About the Role
S&P Consultants has spent nearly three decades helping healthcare organizations navigate complex technology change. Our strength comes from pairing deep healthcare and Oracle Health expertise with experienced consultants who bring clarity, accountability, and practical leadership to large-scale transformations. Growing investment in rural healthcare, ambulatory modernization, and tribal health creates an opportunity for S&P to bring that experience to markets where customer needs and buying models are still evolving.
We are seeking a General Manager, Ambulatory, Rural, & Tribal Health, to build that portfolio and lead S&P’s growth in these priority markets. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer and serving on the growth leadership team, this leader will own the portfolio strategy and performance, working with the other General Managers and the Head of Capture to advance S&P’s enterprise growth priorities. A near-term priority is the CMS Rural Health Transformation Program and the state-led work it is generating.
The General Manager will track state plans, funding, procurement paths, and provider priorities; build relationships with the organizations directing and receiving those investments; and turn identified needs into qualified opportunities for S&P.
The opportunity
extends beyond any single program or platform. Ambulatory, rural, tribal, and community healthcare organizations have distinct needs shaped by geography, workforce, resources, and local care-delivery models. They need practical support to expand access, strengthen operations, and adopt health IT that fits their environments.
The General Manager will bring delivery and sales judgment to these developing markets, identify where S&P can help, and create opportunities where established paths may not exist. Working within the direction set by the Chief Growth Officer, the General Manager will translate enterprise strategy into a clear portfolio plan, build trusted relationships across state agencies, provider organizations, tribal health organizations, technology companies, and other partners, and make disciplined recommendations about where S&P should lead, partner, invest, or decline to pursue. For an accomplished healthcare growth leader, S&P offers the credibility of an established healthcare technology company, the agility of a growing veteran-owned small business, and meaningful room to shape a new growth portfolio.
Success will mean establishing S&P’s position across ambulatory, rural, and tribal health markets, winning the right work, and building a business that delivers lasting customer value.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy & Growth Leadership Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy for Ambulatory, Rural, & Tribal Health, with clear priorities for customers, markets, services, revenue, pipeline, market access, partnerships, and investment.
- Maintain a deep understanding of rural, ambulatory, and tribal health priorities, funding, procurement, competitors, and the needs of the communities and organizations these markets serve.
- Anticipate shifts in care delivery, technology, funding, and policy so S&P can act on emerging needs.
- Develop market-entry plans for priority states, provider segments, tribal health organizations, and regional networks based on customer needs, funding, procurement timelines, and competition.
- Translate S&P's capabilities, past performance, relationships, and delivery experience into differentiated approaches to important customer challenges and practical paths to new programs and customers.
- Represent S&P in senior customer engagements, industry associations, conferences, rural healthcare collaboratives, tribal health forums, and partner forums.
- Advise the Chief Growth Officer and executive leadership team on the opportunities, risks, capabilities, and investments needed to strengthen the portfolio.
- Business Development, Capture & Partnerships Build relationships with healthcare executives, state agencies, provider organizations, tribal health leaders, technology vendors, and other partners to understand priorities, shape opportunities, and establish S&P's presence.
- Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities that align with S&P’s strategy, capabilities, and customer needs.
- Guide early opportunity strategy, including solution direction, customer engagement, competitive positioning, win themes, and partner approach.
- Develop partnership models that bring together providers, community and tribal organizations, technology companies, and regional partners to address needs no single organization can meet alone.
- Partner with the Head of Capture to bring market context, customer insight, competitive intelligence, and partner strategy into priority pursuits.
- Service Line Development & Market Expansion Identify where S&P can expand its ambulatory, rural, and tribal health portfolio, including Oracle Health CommunityWorks and other fit-for-purpose EHR models, interoperability, digital health, virtual care, analytics, cybersecurity, and workflow improvement.
- Recommend the services, partnerships, and investments S&P needs, including focused offerings that solve local problems and can be repeated across customers or markets.
- Work with Service Delivery to develop practical offerings that fit how these communities deliver care and use available resources.
- Bring new offerings to market, secure initial customers, and build meaningful growth from a mix of focused opportunities without compromising delivery quality or customer trust.
- Revenue & Performance Accountability Own bookings, revenue, pipeline, and market expansion objectives for the Ambulatory, Rural, & Tribal Health portfolio.
- Monitor opportunity progression, pipeline quality, forecasts, win rates, and overall business performance, and report clearly to executive leadership.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and investment decisions that balance near-term performance with sustained portfolio growth.
