Work Flexibility: Onsite Staff Designer, CAD Portage, MI As a Staff Designer, CAD, you will provide advanced design and digital engineering expertise to support the development of electromechanical medical devices within the employer's Orthopaedic Instruments business. In this role, you will create, manage, and optimize complex CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and product documentation throughout the product development lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions that meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards. You will support concept development, prototyping, design verification, and manufacturing readiness activities while helping drive design integrity, data accuracy, and continuous improvement across new product development programs. What You Will Do Create, modify, and manage complex CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and bills of materials in accordance with engineering specifications. Translate design inputs into manufacturable product designs while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Evaluate product designs with cross-functional engineering teams to verify function, durability, manufacturability, and design integrity.
