Social Media and Communications Strategist

Hippocratic AI

Menlo Park, CA · Marketing

Job description

We're looking for a sharp, ambitious Social Media and Communications Strategist to own and run our entire social stack. You'll use AI agents and best-in-class technology to produce polished content that resonates. The role covers a lot of ground. You'll manage our social channels top to bottom, creating content, supporting CEO and executive voice, setting cadence, and making sure every product launch, customer win, and headline is amplified on the channels that matter. You'll also track the conversations shaping healthcare, AI, and technology, and recommend where HAI should show up and engage. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Chief Communications Officer and stay plugged into marketing, sales, customer success, and design, so the best stories at HAI actually make it into the feed.

If you live on social, have great taste, can cut a video on your phone before lunch and finish a polished LinkedIn newsletter after, are fierce about metrics and tracking what works, and want to help shape the voice of one of the most exciting companies in AI and healthcare, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Launch and manage social channels. Launch and manage HAI's social channels, create compelling content for every channel (including LinkedIn), and set the social media cadence. Use LinkedIn as the flagship, keep a smart, light touch on X, and evaluate and launch new channels and formats (including short-form video) where our audiences are.

  • Run the social calendar. Own a unified content calendar across the company's and CEO's channels. Plan ahead around product launches, marketing moments, conferences, and earned-media hits, and stay nimble enough to react in hours, not weeks.

  • Build the right team of agents and AI solutions to support cross-functional social media. We're an AI-forward company building teams of agents, so you can focus on the creativity and judgment the work needs.

  • Monitor the conversation and recommend where HAI engages. Track the top conversations, voices, and trends in healthcare, AI, and technology. Deliver a regular brief that covers what's trending, who's driving it, share of voice versus peers, emerging risks, and the specific moments where HAI should comment, post, or stay quiet. Build an engagement playbook that defines which topics we own, which we join, and which we avoid, and flag issues early to the CCO.

  • Partner with the CCO to support CEO presence. Create content in the CEO's voice, manage the publishing cadence, monitor comments, and surface engagement opportunities under the CCO's guidance.

  • Build and run our influencer and KOL program. Identify, map, and build relationships with key opinion leaders, including clinicians, health system leaders, nurses, patient advocates, AI researchers, policy voices, and creators. Develop tiered engagement plans covering co-created content, amplification, event and conference moments, advisory voices, and executive-to-KOL engagement. Track relationship health and impact over time.

  • Source stories from across the company. Partner with sales, customer success, and clinical teams to develop content from customer wins, use cases, product milestones, and team highlights such as new hires, promotions, and culture moments.

  • Create on-brand content. Design graphics in Canva and Figma, edit short-form video natively or with editing tools, and write copy that sounds like us. Coordinate with our lead designer to keep every asset on brand.

  • Support broader comms and marketing. Help draft sales documents, one-pagers, and supporting content, and pitch in on light design and editing for the comms and marketing teams as needed.

  • Measure and report. Track performance across channels, including reach, engagement, share of voice, sentiment, and KOL impact. Learn what's working and bring sharp recommendations on where to lean in.

Location Requirement

We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Menlo Park office five days a week.

What You Bring

Must Have

  • 7–10 years of professional social media and communications experience in a corporate environment, an AI start-up, or a marketing and communications agency.

  • A bachelor's degree.

  • Native fluency in LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms. You understand the unwritten rules of each and can name the accounts setting the bar.

  • Strong writing skills and a feel for voice, especially the difference between a CEO post and a brand post.

  • Comfort designing in Canva or Figma. You can produce a clean graphic, social tile, or simple template without waiting on design.

  • Experience using Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI, or similar tools to build skills or agents that support your work and create content.

  • Ability to shoot and edit short-form video on mobile or with lightweight editing tools.

  • A proven ability to identify and engage influencers and KOLs, and to turn those relationships into reach and credibility.

  • Hands-on experience with social listening and analytics tools (Sprout, Brandwatch, Meltwater, native analytics, etc.), and the judgment to turn signal into a clear recommendation.

  • Project management instincts. You can run a calendar, juggle stakeholders, and ship on a tight timeline.

  • A bias toward action and great judgment. You can move fast on a trend without putting the brand at risk.

  • Real interest in healthcare, AI, or both. You don't need to be an expert, but you do need to be curious.

Nice to Have

  • Experience launching a social channel or short-form video program from scratch.

  • Existing relationships with healthcare creators, clinician influencers, health system leaders, or AI commentators.

  • Experience supporting an executive's personal brand.

  • Familiarity with regulated or healthcare-adjacent communications.
