About the Role

S&P Consultants has spent nearly three decades helping healthcare organizations navigate complex technology change. Our strength comes from pairing deep healthcare and Oracle Health expertise with experienced people who bring clarity, accountability, and practical leadership to large-scale transformations. Today, S&P supports several of the nation’s most consequential federal EHR modernization efforts, creating a strong foundation for continued growth across the Military Health System and Department of Veterans Affairs.

We are seeking a General Manager, Military Health & Veterans Affairs, to build on that foundation and lead S&P’s growth in these priority markets. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer and serving on the growth leadership team, this leader will own the portfolio strategy and performance for Military Health and VA, working with the other General Managers and the Head of Capture to advance S&P’s enterprise growth priorities. S&P has established a strong position supporting large-scale Oracle Health modernization efforts, including a large-scale Oracle Health implementation as part of the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program.

The General Manager will deepen that position while pursuing complementary opportunities across clinical informatics, interoperability, testing, data, revenue cycle, digital health, and operational transformation. This role extends beyond generating pipeline or managing individual pursuits. The General Manager will understand where Military Health and VA customers are headed, connect their most important challenges with S&P’s strengths, and turn that insight into focused strategies, practical offerings, strong partnerships, and sustained growth.

Working within the direction set by the Chief Growth Officer, the General Manager will translate enterprise strategy into a clear portfolio plan, build trusted customer and partner relationships, and make disciplined recommendations about where S&P should lead, partner, invest, or decline to pursue. For an accomplished federal healthcare growth leader, S&P offers the credibility of an established healthcare technology company, the agility of a growing veteran-owned small business, and meaningful room to shape a priority portfolio. Success will mean strengthening S&P’s position in Military Health and VA, winning the right work, and building a business that delivers lasting customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Strategy & Growth Leadership Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy for Military Health and Veterans Affairs, with clear priorities for customers, markets, services, revenue, pipeline, market access, partnerships, and investment.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Military Health and VA priorities, funding, modernization initiatives, acquisition strategies, and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for priority Military Health and VA customers, informed by their mission priorities, operational needs, funding, acquisition timelines, and competitive dynamics.
  • Translate S&P's capabilities, past performance, relationships, and delivery experience into differentiated approaches to important customer challenges and practical paths to new programs and customers.
  • Represent S&P in senior customer engagements, industry associations, conferences, partner forums, and thought leadership activities.
  • Advise the Chief Growth Officer and executive leadership team on the opportunities, risks, capabilities, and investments needed to strengthen the portfolio.
  • Business Development, Capture & Partnerships Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior federal healthcare decision-makers, prime contractors, technology vendors, and other strategic partners to understand priorities, shape opportunities, and strengthen S&P's market position.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities that align with S&P’s strategy, capabilities, and customer needs.
  • Guide early opportunity strategy, including solution direction, customer engagement, competitive positioning, win themes, and partner approach.
  • Develop teaming and partnership strategies that expand access to contract vehicles, priority programs, complementary capabilities, and sustainable workshare.
  • Partner with the Head of Capture to bring market context, customer insight, competitive intelligence, and partner strategy into priority pursuits.
  • Service Line Development & Market Expansion Identify evolving customer needs and determine where S&P can credibly expand its Military Health and VA portfolio.
  • Recommend the services, capabilities, partnerships, and investments S&P needs to pursue those opportunities successfully.
  • Work with Service Delivery to develop practical offerings that solve important customer problems and can be delivered consistently.
  • Help bring new offerings to market and expand S&P’s impact on existing programs without compromising delivery quality or customer trust.
  • Revenue & Performance Accountability Own bookings, revenue, pipeline, and market expansion objectives for the Military Health and Veterans Affairs portfolio.
  • Monitor opportunity progression, pipeline quality, forecasts, win rates, and overall business performance, and report clearly to executive leadership.
  • Support annual planning, budgeting, and investment decisions that balance near-term performance with sustained portfolio growth.
  • Protect and expand S&P's position on existing programs by anticipating retention risks, planning for recompetes, and pursuing organic growth that supports successful execution and sustained customer value.
